# Shimmr Featured in IPA 1000 Actions Campaign

 Dec 20, 2024, 1:15:49 PM · By **Shimmr**

Shimmr Recognized in IPA's '1000 Actions' Campaign for Publishing Equity

We're excited to share that Shimmr has been highlighted in the International Publishers Association (IPA)'s '1000 Actions' campaign for our contribution to creating a more inclusive publishing landscape. Our "reverse discoverability" solution is transforming how underrepresented authors connect with their target readers, dismantling traditional advertising barriers that have historically limited marginalized voices.

The impact of our work is reflected in the numbers: we've successfully promoted 688 books, with over 300 authored by individuals from marginalized communities, including women and LGBTQ+ writers. Monthly, we facilitate connections between these vital works and approximately 200 engaged readers, resulting in 70 book purchases.

This recognition as part of IPA's '1000 Actions for a Sustainable Future' campaign strengthens our dedication to democratizing book discovery. The IPA invites others to join this important initiative by sharing their SDG-related projects on the IPA SDG Dashboard, utilizing the campaign logo to spread awareness, and encouraging industry peers to participate in the campaign.
